   Guy Williams Sensei



Williams Sensei began his martial arts training in 1987 with Tae Kwon Do. After that he explored Kali, Tai Chi and Ba Gua. In 1995 he began training in Aikido. In 1996 he met Steve Ivey Sensei and moved to the Medford, Oregon area to begin training at Kihon Dojo. Part of the curriculum was Iaido with Robert “Red” Sakamoto Sensei. In 1997 began his training in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido. That year also began an intensive three year study of Hatha Yoga with Chad Hamrin in Grants Pass. In 2000 he received Shodan in both Aikido and Iaido. 2002 was a busy year as he received Nidan in Aikido and Iaido. That was the year he met Kevin Blok Kyoshi and Gene Tucker Sensei of Icho Ryu Aikijujustu. Continued training with Blok Kyoshi in On-Guard Control and Defensive Tactics led to a teaching certificate and with Tucker Sensei in 2004 he received his Shodan in Icho Ryu Akijujustu.  Also that year he began studying Chi Kung/Tai Chi with Franz Arner. In 2005 Williams Sensei joined the Chudokai Aikido Federation International and opened Ki Stone Dojo. In August 2007 he was awarded Sandan by Blok Kyoshi.
        By trade Williams Sensei is a massage therapist. In 1997 he received his Certification for Massage in California and held a Massage License in Oregon from 1999 through 2006. Among the modalities he has studied are Acupressure, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Swedish/Thai Massage and Watsu. In 2008 Williams Sensei received his Reiki Master Teacher Certificate and is currently studying for certification in Cranialsacral Unwinding. Guy and his wife Maureen currently own and operate a business called Integrative Arts Body Awareness Center in Fort Bragg, CA.     
    Williams Sensei combines his knowledge of anatomy, body movement, martial arts and yoga to bring a well rounded approach to his teachings incorporating a unique experience for each individual.
